I won't name any names  but someone had said
Wenuden wrote:You need to paint that fuel rail cover blue... Badly.
 But he was right. I was going to wait till I installed my blue valve cover, but I'm impatient sometimes.

Before, right after I put the cover on...

And now....

^ it is more blue than in that shot...more like the first shot.

And because I'm a picky bitch, I still have to clean up the little slip I had. But other than that is better, yes?

Dude, that looks nice! White and blue are sexy together! Hence why I love the Comm. Edition SRT's!

Thank you all  Damn, I leave for a bit, and I have multiple hits!

Lets see...I used a Sharpie brand paint pen of all things. The valve cover I already have is a very pretty blue color.

I think that covers it. But yeah, it needed to be done

 That looks absolutely amazing. When you mentioned that you were going to do this, I really didn't believe it would make that big of a difference. Boy was I wrong. I might just have too follow in your footsteps.

:D Thanks David. It was done free hand. People where watching me saying "How come you don't slip?"

It isn't very hard. The Sharpie paint pen is an oil base, and if you have any experience with Tamia paint pens, this is a cake walk. Makes me kinda pissed that I screwed up that one spot, but I can fix it :D

I would really like to match my blue AEM intake. That's really the only thing I have inside the engine bay that's blue, other than the boogers.... but you can't see them because of where they are located.

I'm not very good at free hand crap.... My father is a artist and you would think that I would have been handed down some talent, but to tell you the truth I f*ck up stick figures if you know what I mean. I would be better off to mask it off and spray paint it. I'm better at that.

Thanks for the idea though. :-k

looks good, time to paint or powdercoat that valve cover. I think a nice gloss black or blue would be nice.

Yeah, that valve cover has seen better days

I have a nice blue cover waiting to go on (I bought it on here, but I can't remember through who :banghead: ).

More pics to follow on that

Really like it John. I think it'll look awesome with your blue valve cover.

Can't wait to see the new hood on there too. Are you gonna do the hood mod to redirect air to your intake, or leave it for when you get the turbo?

I'm prob leave it for the turbo. Since the turbo will sit lower, any extra air back there should help :D

Thanks for the props

Well, since I now have a new hood (see "Yay, new hood!" post), I figured I should finally install the blue valve cover I've had sitting around.

I was nervous at first to what condition I would find the head since I haven't had the cover off before....

I was quite happy!

Spiffy. Everything looks good, John. I'm really impressed with how clean the valves and rockers look. You've gotta love regular maintenance. Great Job.

Thanks David :D That was a nice bonus to know that the valve train doesn't have any oil cookage or obvious carbon build up.
