Bent My Rim

Post by jckevns » Sun Mar 16, 2008 1:58 pm

hit a giant pot hole in Toledo :banghead:

discount tire co won't be able to get me a replacement for 2 months :cussing:

in the meantime they're going to let me use a different rim, not sure what they're going to give me yet, so i can drive the car until they can get me a replacement rim

pics from my cellphone so it kinda sucks but basically the whole rim got squashed. when i zoom in on my phone i can see a whole in the tire right on top of the bend :banghead:

Sorry to hear. If there is a hole in your sidewall your tire is shot and unrepairable.

That sucks man. The roads are horrible with potholes here in WI too, people probably think I'm DUI but I'm just avoiding all the potholes, lol

not in Toledo, i know many people who have tried, there's too many potholes and not enough money to fix them

if it is on public property it can be a battle to get them to cover the cost .. if it is private property ... the property owner has to claim it on their insurance ... had 2 tires and rims replaced on a car from a pothole in a shopping center parking lot ...

course it took a letter from a lawyer to get them to do it ... but it was worth the 50$

that really sucks.

the roads here in Toledo are terrible. this might be the worst i have ever seen them. it is because there was a lot of melting and re-freezing going on.

i'd look into getting it fixed. i had a bend like that and got it fixed for 125. pretty good when they don't make your rims anymore. (which isn't your problem, just for general info)
