car wouldnt start... read story? help
ok so i went to make a quick run to burger king tonight and my car wouldnt turn over! wow totally out of the blue... I drove home from work everything ran fine no problems at all.. never had any.. knock on wood. anyways i would turn the key and it would just click. my radio and everything would come on so i figured it wasnt my battery.. anyway i popped the hood just to see if i saw anything and i decided to unbolt the battery terminals just for fun... i bolted them back up and felt like i did something so i tried to start the car and bingo. turned right over. I dont understand? what could have gone wrong or happened or what? eek my car has got to be tip top shape all the time... i cant have this!

Best bet is just to clean those battery terminals and put some good dielectric grease on them when you hook it back up. I've had the same issue with my eBay ground kit.

When I purchased my car last summer both battery terminals were corroding something awful.
I put together a mixture of baking soda and water and used a toothbrush to clean the terminals as best I could... then I took each terminal and soaked it in the solution until no more bubbles appeared. Also cleaned the battery & posts with the solution.
I let it all dry for a bit then smeared dielectric grease on the battery posts and terminals then put it all back together.
The terminals have been corrosion free since that, but I will still clean them again this summer.
I did pretty much the same thing with all the ground wire connections I could find. Removed the paint under the connector, cleaned the connector, smeared dielectric grease and reassembled.

That's one advantage of AGM type batteries: the connections usually stay corrosion free. Another is the battery tray doesn't get eaten alive.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
