Vibrations
Ok, so I've had this problem for a while now and getting my Motor mounts replaced doesn't seem to fix it, and they break again in no time. But while I'm sitting at a stop light with my foot on the brake, my car begins to vibrate a lot. It kind of starts out low then gets greater then back low and greater again, if you can picture what I mean. Anyway, if I shift into Neutral it stops even after I shift back to drive, untill I hit the next light. I don't think it's my mounts. Anyone have a guess as to what it might be?

Its a vibration that Oscillates (that's the word I was looking for). It doesn't do it in park, neutral or reverse, only in drive.

I know what you mean mine used to do it but has gone away now.. It almost feels like the car is gonna stall, I would always put into neutral when I would hit a light or whatnot.
Since then I put in new plugs coil and wires had injectors cleaned, then I ended up getting my tranny rebuilt ( My own fault ) And no longer does it. I'm not sure which stopped it but for me i would of described it as a hesitation problem when it would drop in rpm the car would shake and feel like it was gonna stall and when in N the rpm would go back up.

Around 800 or 900. Today it got down to 600 and vibrated worse than ever.BlackRoseRacing wrote:What rpm are you idling at in D at a stop?

None, The only thing I've done is remove the resonator and I did that Saturday.01neon01 wrote:what mods do you have on your car? i cant remember where i saw it but i think it has something to do with the stock tb that makes it shake all crazy when at idle. anyways since i got my 60mm tb i no longer have that problem
I don't even know what that is. I don't know a whole lot about cars but I'm learning little by little. If someone can tell me what it is and where it is and how to clean it I could probably get it.JCsrt04 wrote:did you try cleaning the idle air control valve? may be dirty or sticky. Give it a shot!

Idle air control should be a module attached to the TB. it regulates the amount of air that is allowed into the motor while you are stopped (which keeps the RPMs within spec)
no real amount of time between cleaning, they just get sticky sometimes and rather than repalcing it, you can take it off and clean it.
