i know this has probably been asked before but i am swapping to the 2.4T and want a dead quiet dual exit exhaust for the srt rear bumper. I will have a cutout for when i want it loud
I was thinking maybe the stock R/T and then use srt tips or maybe a flowmaster
so what are your recommendations

hrmmm... maybe get a magnaflow camaro muffler and have them put the tips etc on, then put some kind of glasspack in the midtubes to replace the resonators, that will be fricking quiet... maybe restrictive, but quiet.

2 morosos in the midpipe, R/T muffler in back. Between the turbo, 2 morosos, and the R/T muffler, it would be about as quiet as a stock SOHC.
ASP - First NGC SOHC in the 13s and the 12s. First SOHC neon over 500whp. First NGC Neon on MS.

R/T muffler and other than some slight rumble, it's dead quite compared to an SRT. I ran it for about a year and people were amazed with how silent it was. Remember, sometimes that silence comes at the price of higher EGTs.

But is it more restrictive than the stock SRT exhaust? I'm kicking around exhaust ideas, and have no idea what I want to do.

Yeah, a good glasspack in the midpipe should make that thing pretty darn quiet, not like an sxt exhaust but still pretty quiet. Anything else and you will start to lose power. You could also roll the back bumper and put on a fart cannon, that would also be pretty quiet and youd probably get some small gains.

i think i will get the R/T muffler when i put the srt rear bumper on and then use a cutout for when i want noise.
At the moment i started my swap up with the stock SOHC exhaust and it was dead quiet but this will not stay as i think it is quiet restrictive.
