Well I found my camera in my car today while driving around, and I decided that to please krc21 and everyone else, I would shoot some quick pictures and a video. And yes, I know it's a mess, both the engine bay and interior. Plus it's dirty. Don't worry, I will do a good shoot once everything is cleaned up and my boost leaks are fixed. I only run from 5-10psi at WOT.

And this is where I was taking the pictures. Everyone calls it "The End of the World". It's really beautiful, especially at sunset. And you can get down on that beach, it's a good time.

I'm thinking my next plans are maybe a retrofit for my headlights. I'm not really sure though, we'll see. Anyway, there it is, all you impatient people.

Why do you have wires and hoses running all which ways across the engine? More specifically the one next to the driver's side radiator bracket and the hose running from behind the thermostat housings over the valve cover. Take that PVC emissions line off and get a catch can in there, and pick up an upper heatshield for $8 from your dealership so you don't fry your wires.

And why are all your lights on on the dash? And no coolant resivor tank?

Sorry for all the questions lol

So the one running over the valve cover is my throttle cable. I didn't want to run it over the turbo and met it until I got a heatshield. The one by the bracket is a ground thats not doing anything so I think I might remove it. Where is the throttle cable supposed to go anyway?

The lights are brake, abs, and battery. Also seatbelt because I didnt put it on. Like I said I know its a mess. I'm missing a battery temp sensor so that explains one light and I never messed with abs. I dunno about the brake light.

Brake light is usually lit when your fluid isn't topped off. Could be a possibility. As for the throttle cable its run underneath everything and then in between the motor and battery to the back. It clips into the bottom of the clip thats around the radiator hose.

keep the stock pipe, get a 3.5inch downpipe with an e-cutout and run it to stock pipe. loud pipes get so old after a while.

Just tint the tails, put on an SRT bumper, but roll it up.

Turns out I like the AEM plate thingy. And the lights are staying for now at least. I would like an SRT bumper though. And as far as the exhaust, I just don't really want a cutout because I don't want it that loud ever. Thanks for the comments again.

I like my car.

Keep the Neon rear ...

OEM tails... and definitely an electric cut out... the best part of the swap is its in a Neon... don't make it look like a SRT-4 or anything of that nature...

Keep it stock Neon looking.

Hell yes that's a paper crane! And a hula girl is there too, but she broke. :(

The tails will stay. For now at least, I like the LEDs.

Another question.....without the scoop I would think your engine would run hotter than most SRTs since its purpose is to cool the turbo. What is your normal operating temperature?

Normally when driving like a sane person, around 180. If I'm on and off the gas it can get to 200 then cool back down.

Hmmm interesting, so not all that much different than the stock SRT temps. Then again I wonder if spirited driving would affect that. I assume you have the factory 195 thermostat in there?

Yeah, the more you're on the gas, the more it goes up. And yes, I have the stock thermostat in there. I'm sure the 180 is a pretty easy-cheap job? I let it idle in my driveway today for a bit, and it got above 200, maybe 205, 210.
