You always have to worry about detonation. For a nice little kick in the pants a wet 50hp setup would be nice. Premium gas is a must.
If your fuel is right, there should be no worries. Go lean and it will go boom.

how do i not go lean... on the zex website it says something about how the kit has a peice that measures how rich or lean you are so there will be no detenation? is this true.. i really just think if i can safely do nitrous that would be the thing for me.. i dont really care about speed or power. im more about looks i guess.. well more that i just cant afford real power.. i just want something that i can go to a stop light turn it on and show a little civic some mopar.. thats all. a 50 shot would be perfect. as long as i can do it safe. i would get the zex kit brand new.

I have the Zex kit. It is expensive but it is about as simple as simple gets. It will shut down if the fuel pressure is too low. I originally was going to do a window switch due to fear of hitting the fuel cut/rev limiter and I didn't. I used the system anyways thinking I would be careful. Of course with the nitrous I revved so fast I hit it a few times anyway. The zex kit shut off the flow. The Zex kit comes with a 55, 65, and a 75 jets. I have run the 55 and 65 jets without problems with the advanced timing of the magnum computer. I always run 93 octane without exceptions. All in all I would say it is a good kit, albeit expensive.

The plastic intake doesn't really matter. The nozzle for the system is installed in the intake tube before the throttle body. If you still have the factory air box you could put it in the plastic elbow prior to the box. The NGC shouldn't matter either as you would have less timing advance than I do as well as less compression, I believe. Anyone with NGC chime in if I'm wrong.

I ran nitrous in my 03 sxt(ngc) last year on a 75 shot with a stock motor with no muffler and ran a 14.47. No codes or anything. It works great, but I'm not a fan of the zex kits. I'd stick with a NX Mainline Kit. It's under 400 and it has everything you'll need. But remember don't hit the rev limiter or ^ that will happen. Also let your motor heat up or v that will happen.

heres that vidoe enjoy!!Wenuden wrote:god forbid something go wrong. One nitrous backfire and goodbye intake manifold. Have you seen the vid on youtube of the cobalt that blew its hood off at the line when he backfired on nitrous?
