codes p2302 and 2305 HELP

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

codes p2302 and 2305 HELP

Post by screaming03neon » Fri Mar 21, 2008 12:19 am

i hooked up the D.I.S 2 box p/n 6211 to my 03 neon 2.0L with a automatic trans. I also have the msd coil pack and wires with new plugs. When it runs it comes up with codes 2302 and 2305 which is ignition coil 1 secondary circuit insufficient ionization and ignition coil 2 secondary circuit insufficient ionization. checked all the wiring and its hooked up correct acording to the diagram i have. when i take off the msd box and hook it back up to stock coil wires it runs fine. What should I do to get it to run correct with the box hooked up? any suggestions?????

I am not familiar with this stuff, but give it some time and I'm sure someone will help you out. Those codes aren't in the sticky for 03+ Neons so I wouldn't have a clue as to what they are or where to start. You can try searching the net.

This one isn't any more complete than ours, but it looks nicer!

From the first one it appears your coil has been taken out of the loop, setting the code. posssibly only firing on two cyl's or out of time. Or the coil isn't getting a good enough trigger to fire properly. (build enough voltage) Do you have a PT PCM? as all I see is reference to PT Cruisers.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.

2000 Neon MTX swap with '02 R/T PCM
1999 neon coupe 2.4 swap
