Parts you’ll need:
Kicker subwoofer (P/N 77KICK01 I believe for the whole kit, P/N 05029829 for the enclosure)
Wiring harness (P/N RH05SRT4SUBM)
Body clip (P/N RFSPEEDCLIP)
M6 bolt (P/N RF6)
At least 60ft of black wire
At least 60ft of red wire
Zipties
A piece of plastic, such as a shopping bag
RCA Adapters or a speaker wire to RCA adapter
Tools needed:
Phillips screw driver
10mm wrench or socket wrench
13mm wrench
Torx T-50
Knife
Wire cutters
Wire strippers
Soldering iron and solder (depending on which kind of RCA adapters you get)
Flashlight
Torx T-55 (For removing back seat back, optional)
Torque wrench (for replacing back seat back and seat belt, optional)
Step 1:
Remove back seat cushion, HVAC bezel, radio, driver side door sills, driver side kick panel and the panel under the steering wheel, bottom bolt on driver’s seat belt (using a T-50 Torx bit) and the panel the seatbelt goes into. And, if you can, the back seat back (using a T-55 Torx bit), it will make things easier. I couldn’t get mine off so I did it the slightly harder way. I would also recommend disconnecting your battery.

Step 2:
The amp requires 12v constant. Remove the radio harness adapter and splice the two yellow wires together. Then set aside for now.

Step 3:
Pull the left side of the carpeting in the trunk back and remove the black thing covering the strut tower. Pull 2 red wires and 2 black wires along with the red power cable from the wiring harness under the back seat back on the drives side where a set of stock wires comes out. If you’re coming off a spool leave the other end on the spool till later. If not make sure you have a fairly long piece, I would say 15ft to be safe, 60ft total (30ft x 2 red, 30ft x 2 black). Be sure to keep the two sets of wires separated. I pulled mine from four different spools and had two hanging on one side of the trunk and the other two hanging on the other side. The ends I was pulling I taped together.

Step 4:
Keep pulling the wires all the way down the driver’s side of the car.

Step 5:
When you get to the front of the car, feed some fishing tape or, in my case, a cable through where the radio goes, down the center console and out where the pedals are. Tape the wires you’re pulling to the end and pull then through carefully making sure not to get snagged or caught on anything thing until you have them hanging out of where your radio goes.

Step 6:
Remove the wires from your pull cable. Take the red power cable with the prong from the wiring harness and pull the red rubber thing back a little bit. Take the factory radio harness and lift up the right edge of the white strip on the top of the plug.

Step 7:
Insert the prong from the Kicker wiring harness into pin 12 (all the way to the left on the row closest to that white strip, it’s marked) of the factory radio harness until it clicks into place. Then press the white strip back down and pull lightly on the red cable you just inserted to ensure it is locked in place.

Step 8:
Take one of the red and black wire pairs you pulled to the front and attach an RCA plug to the end of it. Attach the black wire to the prong in the middle and the red to the outer ring. You can also use one of these, but couldn’t find one locally and I didn’t want to wait for shipping. I’ll probably switch mine out later. Do the same step to the other pair of wires.

Step 9:
Plug you radio harness adapter back in and attach it to your radio. Then plug the RCA adapters you just wired into the subwoofer pre-outs (if you have them) or wherever you would plug in your subs on your radio.

Step 10:
Place your radio back in its place and secure it. You may just want to hold it in with two screws for now until you’re done. Pull the cables you ran tight and secure them under the dash and down the driver’s side of the car all the way into the trunk. Use zip ties to secure the cables to some stock wiring that runs the length of the car.

Step 11:
Cut the excess off the black and red cables. Remember to keep the pairs separated. Attach one pair to the plugs on the wiring harness that attaches to the 6x9’s buy splicing the black wire to the green wire (negative) and the red wire to the yellow wire (positive). Do the same with the other set of wires to the other plug. I don’t like to cut connectors off so I used some quick connects.

Step: 12
Remove the screw from factory ground point near the tail light and place the black ground cable from the wiring harness on top of it and replace the screw.

Step: 13
Wrap the extra wires around the strut tower or stuff it somewhere. Replace the black thing on the strut tower. Be sure to leave the plug that goes into the subwoofer near the taillight.

(Sorry for the mess of wires, the wires for my neon’s come in this area, you can see the plug toward the right)
Step 14:
Install a body clip near the ground point. Then, using a 13mm wrench, loosen or take off the top plastic nut on the tail light.

Step 15:
Cut a slit in the trunk carpeting near the taillight bolt and near the body clip. Also cut a slit for the plug on the wiring harness. Then put the carpet back in place.

Step 16:
Place some plastic in the area where the speaker will go to keep the velco from attaching to the carpet. Then place the Kicker subwoofer in the trunk and secure it to the tail light with the plastic nut and to the body clip with a M6 bolt.

Step 17:
Plug the wiring harness into the subwoofer and push the red tab over to lock it. Then remove the plastic from under the subwoofer.

Step 18:
Reconnect your battery and test it out. I set my speakers balance to rear and disconnected my 6x9’s to test it. (See below for trouble shooting)

Step 19:
Put everything back together. If you have a torque wrench, tighten the driver’s seatbelt bolt and the back seat back (if you took it off) to 42 ft. lbs (504 in. lbs). Then enjoy your new Kicker Subwoofer!

Troubleshooting:
I’m not getting any sound from my subwoofer.
Try turning up the volume. I found that I have to have mine on at least 15 to get some sound out of the subwoofer.
I turned up the volume and still can’t hear anything
Check your RCA adapters. Make sure you don’t have any wires crossed at the connections. If you don’t try making the prong the positive and the outer ring the negative.
I have a cut wiring harness. How do I know which wires go where?
Here's a wiring diagram that should be able to help you out:

If any one has any questions, post them here and I’ll try to answer them as best I can if I am able to.
