Loose Steering fix?

Post by kplaya186 » Sun Mar 23, 2008 10:29 am

My car has 84K on it, and I think it is time to replace some suspension/steering components. I like the feel of tight steering, and currently my car feels loose. I was think that new Outer tie rods would help tighten up the steering. I would also like to do a bushings overhaul as well, but my money will not permit that at the moment. Any other suggestions?

Replacing the rear LCA bushings with a poly or bearing kit will do the most to firm up steering and road feel.

That seems like a pretty easy fix. The lower control arms are easily accessible. Do the bushings need to be pressed in like the front LCA bushings?

Thanks,
Kyle
