Ever since I put my R/T exhaust on, the left side sags down lower than the right. Not my much, but I definitely notice it. I know it's secured by two black rubber things to the frame. My guess is when it was put on, the left side was stretched when taking off the stock exhaust. Do you guys think that's the case too? I was going to measure both black rubber things to see if the left one was any longer than the right. Do you guys think buying two completely new rubber pieces would fix the sag?
I parked next to an SRT today...now that I look at it the SRT looks like it has the same sag. :/ Every real R/T I've seen has perfectly aligned exhaust.

Heh... I have yet to see one that does not sag a little. Unless you have a large open ended plier, you will not be able to bend the hanger.

Torch it, and then bend it, heat is your friend when bending steel.

when i had my r/t exhaust, what will be alot easier for you is to get a hose/pipe clamp like from a cold air intake i wrapped it around the rubber hanger and just tightened till the sag went away.. like a 1$ from home depot, and no torching bending etc.. problem solved.

A large box end wrench slid over the hanger will bend it.

My dad had this problem when he put a r/t muffler on his Neon. The rubber hanger part is kinda "O" shaped. On the side that was high he drilled a hole in the rubber "O" piece and put a bolt, nut and washers through it. So it kinda looked like this... -O-
He then tightened the bolt, making the rubber piece more oval and longer, droping the high side until it matched the low side. Now it hangs level, maybe a 1/8" below the stock bumper w/o cutouts.

Mine doesn't sag, and the SRT4 that came into work today didn't have a problem, either. Then again it had a dual 3" exhaust.

I think I'll take a shot at this method first. Thanks for the tip!

I figured I'd ask this...I'm assuming the rear section you put on has the alignment tab on the pipe? If not, it's possible the muffler assembly is turned a little bit on the mid pipe.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

I don't think there is an alignment tab. I can clearly see that the left hanger is stretched longer than the right. It probably stretched because of the heat since it's right next to the pipe.

Ok, I kinda thought so. Sometimes the rear section gets turned a little bit, which puts more stress on the one side. If the muffler is level before you tighten the clamp, it shouldn't be a problem, but if not...
Something to look at.

Here is what I did: Use a hose clamp over that rubber hanger to tighten it up to the correct length. Works GREAT!

If you notice most SRT-D's and including mine the exhaust hangs too low. You just bend the hanger slightly then you be good to go.
