Another Newbie!!!
Another Newbie!!!
Hi everybody,
I´m Matthias from Germany and just signed up and wanted to say "Hello" to all you guys around!
I´ve got a 1999 2nd Gen Neon 2.0 LX and til now (got the car in December 07) I´m really satisfied with it.
It´s got that dark blue metallic colour (aahh...it´s "Patriot Blue") and beige leather seats and so on. No real specials.
I just asked BlackRoseRacing to get me a CruiseControlKit, because the Dollar/Euro is so good right now that I won´t buy it here in Germany and save $300!!! That would be my only "special" part in my car then.
So, see ya all in the future!!
Matthias

Welcome! I'm interested to see your car. Are you sure the car is a '99? Second gen didn't start until '00, even in Europe. Just a FYI, don't go by the production date (since it probably says 99). The 10th digit of your VIN should be a "Y".
But enough nit picking. Post some pictures and enjoy the forum

If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Yep, 10th digit is a "Y"!Danteneon wrote:Welcome! I'm interested to see your car. Are you sure the car is a '99? Second gen didn't start until '00, even in Europe. Just a FYI, don't go by the production date (since it probably says 99). The 10th digit of your VIN should be a "Y".

You´re right. They´re all there, but to be able to place your head in/on (?) the headrests you should´ve been working as an artist in the circus for at least 10 yrs!!!!!!!!!Midnight_Rider wrote:You have the leather armrest...![]()
And the adjustable rear headrests and rear fog lights- all the export model goodies I wish that my car had.

Hmmm...what could be the purpose of fog lights?Demon_R/T wrote:whats the purpose of those?
To see and be seen.
If the visibility is limited to e.g. 50yds I promise you, you will be very happy to be able to see the car in front of you as early as possible.
Here in Germany it´s only allowed to switch ´em on when the visibility is less than 50meters (ca. 50yds).
