So why do you love your Neon?

Post by TN.Frank » Sun Mar 30, 2008 3:15 pm

I know more then a few people don't like their Neons/SRT-4s but for those of us that do, why? I'll start:
I love my Neon because it's the first car I've had in a while(had trucks for about the last 12 years) and it's pretty easy to work on for a smog motor. It's a fairly peppy little car with the few mods I've done to it and I know it'll get better with a few more mods. It handles pretty good and should even do better when I get my SRT springs, Tokico Blue struts and rear sway and 205/50's on it. It looks nice(at least I like the looks ) and there's quite a few mods(body, engine, ect.) that you can do to your car to make it your own. Gas mileage is also a BIG plus with the over $3 buck a gallon gas that we're all having to put up with.
I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd ever drive a Neon but now that I've got it I really do love this little car.

I love my neon because its not a car that many people modify, so even with only slight exterior mods its stands out imo. Its nice to drive, good on gas. I love the interior. All in all they are great fun little cars and i don't plan on gettin rid of mine anytime soon

I love mine because of the pull in 2nd gear. I like the looks and it is fun to drive.

As for the r/t for what it is it is indestructable...the engine is as strong as ever. She goes pretty well and is fun to drive.

:withstupid: I love taking off ramps at double the recommended speed. Another thing is that it's one of the few cars I can fit my 6'3" self in comfortably.

cause all imports suck. And mopar is god.

I was a big time mopar guy, but the direction of the company means I will not buy another Chrysler product. Right now there are so many cars out there that are so much better for the same price or cheaper.

No, because we're sending way too much of our money over seas and not supporting our own American people and it's nice to be able to buy a car made in the U.S. for a change. I know Honda, Nissan and others are being made here in the U.S. as well but I just like owning something with a U.S. manufacture name on it.

Think about where most of the parts are coming. A lot of domestic cars have BIG overseas content. On par with the imports even. Most imports are just as North American as North American cars since just as many of them are assembled locally.

I love my Neon because its my first car, its paid off, its relatively cheap to modify, and just as others said, doesn't take much to get people to look at my car...

I love this car because its been reliable for me even when i drive it hard.. which is the majority of the time.. Its getting up in the miles for me (almost 100,000 miles) but it doesn't show any signs of aging.
