Droning sound from rear of car any ideas
i posted this hear becuase i heard it may be tires i just installed srt-4 rims and tires also along with a megan g racing coilover kit all tires are properly inflated any ideas guys?
if your rear tires are not aligned correctly, they will generate "tire roar" noise, align it and it should be fine. if it does not go away, then your bearings could be bad as silverneontuner mentioned....Fuzzyneon wrote:now to note they haven't been aligned yet could it be something along those lines?
also its a pretty big tire size compared to my old ones alot more "Meat"
one thing to note, when i went from stock tires and rims to 16" rims and performance tires, there was a really big difference in noise levels especially on the highway...performance tires are usualy louder than the regular tires due to the tread pattern, material and lower profile , unless you go with some top of the line and expensive tires, then you should expect an increase on road noise..
an alignment will definitely improve the situation though....
good luck
