Just going to dive in, I guess...

Just install MegaSquirt or some other system that allows you to tune your car or just have a question about tuning and the options available? Feel free to ask it here.

Just going to dive in, I guess...

I've read the stickied FAQ from top to bottom about 4 times now, but I still feel totally un-prepared to do this. I know it's going to have to be done to achieve the full potential of all the hardware I'm putting in this car. So uh... I guess I'll just put together a shopping list based off of the sticky, buy everything, and hope for the best.

As far as buying things, the sticky is all you need to get your shopping list together (MS, intake temp sensor, coolant sensor, wiring harness, you will need some vacuum line, good soldering iron, shrink wrap, ect). As far as understanding, you really need to read through the megamanual a bunch. At least for me, a bunch of this stuff didn't make sense till I tried it. Goodluck, there are a bunch of us here to help out.

The FAQ is getting a bit out of date too. I need to update a few things in there. (links to more recent info, manuals, MS2-extra stuff...)

If just reading the manuals is a bit too nebulous to start. One thing to do would be to download Megatune, then go through each pull down menu to get used to where stuff is and familiarize yourself will all the options available.

You can get MT here: http://www.megamanual.com/files/softwar ... _setup.exe

Sweet, good idea. I downloaded that yesterday at work and was playing around with it. It doesn't look as overwhelming as I thought, but then again that's just the software / mathematical side (not actually hooking it up), and that's what I do all day at my job anyway.
