18 inch rims (Please respond ASAP Need Your Help)

Post by glevere » Sun Apr 13, 2008 4:34 pm

i got a 2001 Plymouth (Chrysler) Neon and my cousin are selling me his 18 inch chrome rims along with the tires. My question is are 18 inch rims good enough for my neon and it won't do any damage to the car when driving it? The rims came off his 2001 Mazda 626

Well since its your cousin.. Simply jack up your car and take off a wheel in the front and throw one on there that he is selling.

Bolt pattern and offset are the biggest factors. They might not even mount up depending on what kind of car they came off of....

IF they do mount up..

Lower the car back down, turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and right. See if there is rubbing ETC...

Hope that helps.

i dont think its gonna fit, my g/f car is a mazda millenia, and the 626 929 and milly are all similiar, and they should all have 5x114 offset...

edit wont fit, heres the bolt pattern reference..

also an 18inch wheel probably wont fit with your stock struts... your tire would have to be super super super thin.. still not sure if it would work

Hey 18's wqill fit with proper tires 215/35/18 but the rims should be fine if they have the dual bolt patters because i sold some rims to a friend for his 626 and they fit but used the other holes.
