New "mod"

Post by Frizbe » Mon Jul 18, 2005 3:45 pm

I finnally got rid of the damned chrome around the grill. Here ar some pics:

It looks like the Howell car from 04, but It is a Mica Black, so it has some metallic in it, It will be getting some clear coat to make it glossy instead of flat like it is in the pictures.
Justin- I have nothing but smart ass remarks to add.

Did you pull the chrome pieces off to paint 'em? This is something I might consider doing seeing as how that's about the only piece of chrome on the car and it sticks out like hell.

you unscrew the black grills and then you take them apart

no :?
I just took a cloth and a small screwdriver, and CAREFULLY pryed them up until I could fit my finger in the gap then ran the screwdriver around them until they poped off. Taking off the grill doesn't accually do anything, because the chrome peice atach to the bumper and the grill. I'm going to wet sand them so I'll take some pictures then on how to do it.

i'm going off of how i took them of my stratus coupe.... its alot easier to pop the trim off if you have the grill off..... don't risk braking the clips that way...... of course this is if they are the same, which i don't see why not.

I guess you could do it that way, but your going to have to take the entire bumper off, the bottom two peices have that styrofaom shit behinde them.

Looking forward to a little how-to though it should be pretty simple, just afraid to break something
