Tonights Picture Challenge - No Good Lighting - CSRT4 Pics

Post by JuniorMT » Sat Apr 19, 2008 1:09 am

Well, I got the bug to go out and take some pics of the CSRT4. I just grabbed my camera and tripod and out the door I went. No idea where to go in mind, just driving, until I decided to just snap some pics.

Well I found an area, but the main thing was, no good lighting. The blast lights in the back were very orangy, and I knew, I was gonna get lots of noise in my pictures, once the white balance was configured.

Well I thought, what the heck, just to get the bug out of the system, lets snap some pics.

Here is what i started with

Then I did my white balance, and this is where the fun starts!

Someone told me I can be in more than one place at one time, but come on!

Back to fun with some HDR (not to good)

I need some help with this ugly engine bay!

All in all, decent pictures, got the bug out of my system, and I happy with how they came out as I knew they could have been a LOT worse.

Thanks for taking the time to look at the pics!

Don't expect a lot of love for the CSRT here. A lot of folks are put off by the less-than-suitable replacement for the Neon.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

It's a neon site, do you really think they are all going to drool over the thing that replaced what they love?

The paint is loaded with flake from the factory. Looks really good too in person. I want to do a full detail, clay bar, paint cleaner, polish, glaze and wax, and see how much I can bring out the flake.

I'll disagree about the new Chrysler Black paint they are using. I Hate flake in my paint. If it was a true deep black I would love it.

I've never been a fan of the Caliber, in any trim. I've test driven the CSRT etc etc etc. The drivers position doesn't feel right, and the shifter is so uncomfortable.

Thats why I drive an MS3

Have fun and enjoy your car.

I need to get a DSLR, cause my pictures are junk

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. No hate from me d00d.

I've always loved your CSRT4, as far as the crazy amounts of flake, my rig is the same way, and I love it, even when it is muddy, I can still see the flake!

I'm not a fan of the flake. I'm glad we got a '07 R/T because the paint is straight up PX8 black...no metallic. Even though it isn't a CSRT, she still looks unique because the SRT's weren't available in PX8 :)
