ignition/sparkplug wire problem
ignition/sparkplug wire problem
Im trying to check out my spark plugs....but the ignition wires wont come off. I was able to remove one without a problem....but the other 3 are REEEALLY stuck on there. I put as much elbow grease as possible and have had no luck. (and im a pretty strong guy). How should i get them off? They're mopar and appear to be really new. should i replace them once im able to get them off?

Just gonna have to pull... don't pull on the wires, pull on the boot.
You'll want to use some dielectric grease when putting them back on.

You could, but anti-seize would hold up better. the dielectric is for the boot, as it doesn't conduct electricity, and eases install/removal.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.

I had the same issue with mine when I first got it... the wires and boots would not come off the spark plug.
I pulled, twisted and pulled some more... they finally broke free. Just keep working at it and eventually they should break free... include some twisting with the pulling.
Now I use a dab of di-electric grease around the plug where the boot fits... and they stick no more.
