Which intercooler would be better?

I would think that the one with more surface area would be better, yet the smaller one is more expensive. Oh, and if I do go with the bigger one, I do NOT want to get the SRT front fascia - it would totally kill the sleeper look. Any ideas for how to squeeze it in there??

You don't have to get the front fascia for an srt-4, to install the big one you just need to remove your crash bar. And really it is up to you based on if you have a budget or not, most good intercoolers have a .2 psi pressure drop which is low and what you want, you can find cheaper ones on ebay with the same kind of performance as the ones shown on the mpx website if you look in the right place...

Re: Which intercooler would be better?
The 2nd one is more because its made by Spearco. Simple as that. Is it any better then the MPX one??? I personaly would say probably not. Yes there are some one on E-bay that will work verry well. But there are ones on E-bay that will leak. Do some serches on this site and the SRT forums and you will find what ones on E-bay will work good. I would start out with a stock SRT one and go from there.yellowpatrol wrote:http://www.modernperformance.com/produc ... 24d6eda24d

I wouldn't waste my money on a stock SRT IC, then selling it and getting another. I know plenty of people that run the MPX and love it.
Get it from the get go and be happy

that's because most of us know what we're doing and don't have to ask about every mod we do LOL. We research or use common sense to tell us what will work or what might just be retarded based on what has been proven already.
If you don't understand how an engine works, please for the love of god do research and stay NA until you do.

Who said anything about not knowing how an engine works? I asked which product performed better.Wenuden wrote:that's because most of us know what we're doing and don't have to ask about every mod we do LOL. that wasn't aimed at you. It was aimed at the tons of people who's first post on the boards is in this section asking which turbo to buy and wether they need a new bottom end and how many pounds can I run and what can my tranny handle and so forth and so on and yada yada. From looking at what you've done so far, you've pretty much figured it out LOL.
I figured it'd be ok to rant on this thread cause its 2 months old and you already bought the intercooler before it got brought back from the dead.
