Where does a smooth pimp find some arm candy?

Post by TeckNeon » Wed Apr 23, 2008 4:54 pm

*emo sigh* Looks like it's official. I'm gonna be a statistic before I become a worse statistic. 30 year old, father of one...single. The GF has deceided to move on without me. So, after all the moving out into the first shitty place I can find, cleaning out all my stuff, dividing up our massive (1000+) dvd collection, appliances, arguing over our $2000+ Mac computer and such, and picking up a second job to help keep my mind off things for awhile and to help pay off what little debt I still have, I am gonna need to figure out how to get back on the horse.

Dating at 30+ is a whole different ball field because you are officially "the old guy at the club" with all the 21-26 year olds looking to hook up or out with their SO's and the one fat friend who can't get seem to find a man to feed her well enough. Of course I am gonna try the obligitory "join a club or a sport and meet people that way" advice, and cruising the book store seems too high schoolish. Online dating? *mmft* -- I am far from a prize, but a quick gander through Match.com turned up some pretty scary results. I chose the 25-32 year old range on the splash page out of curiousity and f'ing YIKES! Maybe I should be cruising for cougars (LOLZ!) or something. Being of the later age group, it's even harder because alot of my friends are married with kids and they are friends with other people who are married with kids. No single people in sight via that mountain top.

What advice can the playas around here offer up? What wisdom can you come up with?

your local craigslist with a "gift" will get you companionship :-D

i'll be in the same boat when my gf dies, or leaves me, whichever comes first (and it really could be the first one), so at that point ill just get more cats and become that crazy cat guy.........

sorry, dont have any real suggestions for you since ive never been much of a social butterfly....

Just get involved with the dance music scene, I'm far from being the only 30-something around here still out at the clubs picking up young girls. Fortunately I look much younger than I am, and being a DJ I have a legitimate reason to be at the clubs anyway. Dating for me is no different than it was 10 years ago, it was difficult then too, and I've never really had much for long-term relationships.

I've officially changed the classic movie line:

"That's what I love about these raver girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age."

:)

I'm 30 and perfectly fine with being single, even if I am single forever I don't give a shit, because in the end I generally feel women are more trouble than they are worth. Find me some higher-quality women and maybe I would feel differently.

Here is mine.... Im not in that situation by far, but you just gotta do you man. Make the best out of the situation that is presented to you, otherwise you'll drive yourself insane. It aint your fault that a lot of women are focused on material things and some are just plain crazy. And sometimes just because you "fall off the horse" doesnt necessarily mean you have to get back on right away if even at all. Just concentrate on what makes ya happy dawg, I mean after all our neons consume more money than any girlfriend ever will. Good luck

I love pu$$y too much to say to hell with women, but i would suggest, focus on your self as much as you can now that you have tons of free time and the women will come, you never want to meet a lady in the club, cause if your not a big club go-wer then its gonna cause arguements cause she will still like to go out and party like she did when she met you.

you dont find your future wife in a club you find a\ one night stands.

Bah... at 51 I've been around, have had a few women cause me grief and am still single.

I'd rather stay single than get tangled up with someone only to have them ditch me a few years down the road... that is certainly very costly emotionally and possibly financially as well.

I'm wondering what happened to the good old days when people were a whole lot more sincere and honest with each other and a commitment actually meant something.

Whoa...this thread got big after while.

Yeah...I am going nuts with all the split up stuff you go through when this type of thing goes on plus all her added BS and then spend time with the kiddo cause you know that is gonna grind to a hault.

But, yeah...I was out at an after hours "club" in the area. I got to spend some time talking up some 23 year old girl (5.5 or 6 out of 10...at best...with 5 or 6 vokda and waters) and that was fun just to know I still got a little bit of game left in my stash. I didn't get a number or seal the deal because afterwhile I just stopped giving a shit and said..."nah...I'll wait for the next one". LOL How long will that go on for? Prolly not long. But I am in no hurry to get into another relationship. A F-buddy on the side or a booty call that I get to take to corporate functions and someone to ride along to where ever I wanna go that's gonna take most of the day to complete. You get the idea. No cats this time around. Been there, done that. I don't want to have to worry too much about anyone else but myself for awhile.

MySpace, huh? I had a MySpace for a little while. It felt so childish to have but if I hook one up here soon, I will post up for some tips on how to cast my line out there to find something a little less ogrish than what I got to preview on my Match.com free pass. YIKES!

The last thing I want to is be "that guy" who I actually met at that after hours club. 300 lbs of 51 year old sadness just sitting there waiting for the clock to hit 2:10am when all the drunk sluts show up after the bar hoping to find coke or a penis for that last minute grab at the end before hiding out the rest of the morning at Denny's or sleeping off the regret until Monday morning in their parent's basement.

Am I the only woman on here?.... Hope I help.

I'm almost 24, my man is 31. (5 year relationship)

1st and foremost: Women are dramatic and never easy, that's how you know you're really dating a woman and not a man.

The right woman for you is the woman with the LEAST amount of issues. You will NEVER find a woman that is everything. Just figure out what you can handle and make sure she's not too crazy.

Do not meet them here:
Club - not as hot in real light & they don't know they've got an STD.
Church - more issues then even God can handle.
Library - depends on what book their reading.
Myspace - all talk, no walk.... they all photo shop, I swear!!!

I suggest doing your OWN thing... go to events that you're into. See live bands - She won't hate the music you love.
Car events - She won't need you bleed her brakes.
Fishing - find one who can bait her own hook and not cry.
Sporting events - find one wearing your team’s jersey.

The true test of a good woman... "Call her at 7:00am and ask her to read a part number from underneath your ride. If she gets it then you've got your self a keeper. If she complains about getting dirty then get a new girl.”

I found that if you're looking for a woman, you will find one. Usually the wrong one, as you're looking too hard. But now if you look for many women instead, you will find many. Then you get to pick the best one once you get tired of the life of doing 3 different girls in a 24 hour period, three-ways, nights of drinking until you don't remember who you did, etc. Worked for me, at least.

I am not a church going fellow. Nor am I into too much live music or sports for that matter. I don't have a "team". The Pens are doing well so let's go Pens but I don't own a jersey or anything. I tend not to wear logos in general.

Finding an attractive girl who is into cars, trucks, whatever is like finding a needle in a hay stack. I know a few guys who put up with alot of ugly for a girl who is into cars. Now, finding one that's not gonna get a giggle from your friends each time you bring her by the car show...it's not impossible but it's not typical either. Car shows are no place to meet women. It's a sausage-fest. The only girls that go are with their SO's, competing in the swimsuit comp, or showing off at a booth. None of those girls are for me anyway.

I am gonna stick with just rolling along, picking up on scraps that my buddy leaves behind (bachelor for life type of guy) and maybe even take a job as a dishwasher or bus boy at a local restaurant to keep my mind off of things for awhile as I stack up some easy money while doing basically nothing. But the despicable side of me says to go work at Burger King again (I was a manager for awhile about 12 years ago between high school and art school) and do that for awhile as to pick up on the barely legal girls who work there for awhile and then leave. That whole "Dazed and Confused" thing..."I get older, they stay the same age". But, as fun as that would be for about 6 months, I would feel like a dirty old man. But what a 6 months!

Thanks for all the help anyway.
