I put hoodpins in my CF hood just because it didn't line up properly without them. They aren't totally necessary if the CF hood has a properly installed latch in the OEM position.
The hood never cracked from the hoodpins...that is until I was hit by a truck and the pins actually tore the hood.

i dont have them on mine either. i was going to put them on, but i heard that a girl around here put a cf hood on her rsx and the cf split when they drilled the holes. mine latches fine and everything so im not too worried about ever getting hood pins, its been fine in the year that ive had the hood

I've had my CF hood for almost two years now and do not have pins. I was too afraid to even drill the holes for the windsheild squirters so hoodpins weren't an option. So far no problems with it coming loose, even with accidently driving with the hood popped once. *knocks on wood* I hope I didn't just jinx myself.

I've had 3 CF hoods... actually 4 sorta and never used pins. As long as it uses the stock latch assembly you'll be fine.
