03-05 Headlights on 00-02

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

03-05 Headlights on 00-02

Post by GTS » Thu Jul 21, 2005 1:43 pm

What would it take to convert them. I already know that the hood and fender align and I was told that the bumper is the one that will have to be modified. I guess my question is how much would i have to cut to make it fit. any ideas or numbers.

Enough. Would you want the whole headlight exposed, or do you want the very bottom hiding behind the bumper cover? The main difference is that the '03+ headlight comes down lower. The easiest thing would be using a bumper cover designed for an '03+ Neon.

Yeah I know but i wanted to get rid of the turn signals on my front and have the area open and I was thinking about adding a projector inside the turnsignal hausing. By how much is the headlight longer half inch, more or less.

Not sure, you'll have to go to a Dodge dealer with a tape measure.

Your bumper would need to be cut... that is a fact. Thing is, if you are talking about keeping your 00-02 turn signals, you won't be able to since that is part of the headlight housing, molded in and can't be removed. So right there, that is another thing you'd have to figure out how to do, to be honest, it seems like more work and after you're done cutting up the bumper which will hide part of the '03-'05 headlamp + the turn signal already built in... I don't it'd really look very good.

Nope I want just the 03 lights on there. I want jsut an open grill with nothing in between the lights.

I guess I will look around and see if I can get my hands on some and see if and how they fit.
