can u post pics of your black rims? nongloss/gloss/semiglos

like it says, i just sold my srt wheels instead of putting them on the car.. needed money, moving this weekend.. my silver adr sports are a little scratched and the finish is chipping, was thinking of scuffing up and rattle painting black... not sure to do flat / high gloss / or semi gloss....

im leaning torwards high gloss, and a clear coat.. flat might be too well, dull.... what brand paint? i think i read somewhere people where using a gloss engine enamel and a clearcoat...

so if you got a minute and got black rims with some pics help me out.. closeups are good.. but whatever you got works.. thanks guys!

your pics are great i think he wants rims that were painted themselves.. not rims that were bought black

these are the only ones i have left but these are my 7 spokes painted flat black.. i thought they looked pretty good..

thanks, i dont care if they are painted, or bought like that, wanted to see flat vs gloss/semi gloss on our cars..

i think im gonna end up going gloss black... i think the flat would be too dull on my CG car...

It is sooo damn fast the paint comes right off the bumper

I bought it used and they had replaced the bumper at some point and it was peeling when I bought it so they resprayed it with like a 3 month warrenty or something. About a year later it got chipped up by rocks and what not and as soon as a little piece came off, it started flaking off in huge chunks...it is fun going to the car wash. Eventually all the paint will be gone and I will just leave it unpainted...if anybody asks I will tell them I did it on purpose for weight redux

meh .. dont care much for trends.. silver wheels are played out, they are everywhere!.. oem and aftermarket... joking.. but seriously.. i suppose its all relative...

all the neons i see around here are blinged out with flipping chrome... or just stock...

ive had these silver rims for awhile, need a change since they are gettin a little worse for wear, and figure black should go well with the color of my car..

and im not doin a silver lip...

I bet gunmetal with silver lip would look nice with your color car. I'm considering doing it with my stock wheels because I'm so broke atm.

People need to stop spray painting their wheels black! Black doesnt ALWAYS look good! And black paint definately doesnt hide ugly wheels.

Its like the honda guys that primer over their shiny stock paint for that "under construction" look! (Dont kill me evilcreations)

No hate to anyone, I used to bomb around in a flat black Omni GLH with spray painted gunmetal rims. That was 5 years ago. Its time to grow up. I dont want my neon looking like the ricer crowd!

I've always liked black wheels the best on a red car. I'm not sure what color I want with my car yet. (faded Salsa Red Metallic = Orange) The snowflakes aren't offensive in their current unpainted state but they are not my favorite style.
