Here's a pic of how she looks back with the coons. I'll probably be taking the tint off the fogs and side markers now.
Was able to start the tear down today. I would have had the head off, but I left my 12pt sockets for the arp studs at work. I was able to nail down what the problem was though. When I had taken off the valve cover before, I was convinced it was a problem with the exhaust valves and not the intake, so I didn't even remove the intake rockers. Well, if I had, I would have seen this...
One of the intake valves in cylinder one was super bent.
I'm not sure if the valve contacted the piston first, or if it broke at the retainer and dropped, but either way, it was F'ed up. Royally.
This is pretty much where I stopped, except i removed the heater core lines.
Auxillary things I'll be doing besides getting the head fixed
1. Looping heater core lines
2. Removing PS lines back to rack and looping.
3. Machining enging mount bracket to remove tensioner and PS mount points.
4. Remove excess engine bay wiring and gut even more.
