not sure how to describe it, so......
its happened twice so far, the first time was for a few seconds after driving fine for a couple miles, came to a red light and then happened when i started to go...... weather as i remember it was clear and dry and warm, was daytime / afternoon, did not use remote start at all (saying for reference)
the second time was the other morning.. it happened right off the bat and lasted for maybe 2 miles and then stopped.. had been raining all night and chilly, was early morning (3am), and had used the remote start for 10-15 minutes to try and warm up the car (dont remember if the car had actually started or not though, since sometimes it tries to start but fails, and even if it does start the car is never warmed up and the windows are never unfrosted/unfogged, but thats another matter)
what happened? well...
basically i push the gas pedal, and it wouldnt really want to go. it was kind of a sputter / bucking type of deal. the car would accelerate but i didnt really push it hard, topped out around 30mph not knowing wtf was going on....... then all was ok and normal
not sure if any of this is related:
my timing belt / water pump still need to be replaced (30K over due)
serpentine belt should be replaced, is fairly well cracked / worn (but doesnt seem to be failing)
my oil was pretty low, but i did not add any at the point where it stopped doing it, so thats unrelated i guess
spark plugs and wires were replaced last summer, and then i replaced the plugs again after using seafoam a couple months ago
my TCC solenoid was replaced recently, but the first time it happened was before the solenoid was replaced, so other than the car shifting strange (or seems to anyways) i dont think this could have done anything to cause the problem
ummmmmmmmmmmmmm dont think theres anything else
ideas?
btw, i dont know if this is the same or similar to the thread "engine stuttering"... i dont get any engine lights, have not checked codes but... and it doesnt happen after i let off the gas, and i dont have a tach (yet) so i dont know what rpms were involved but i dont think it was relevant anyways
what might this problem be?
I kinda had that scenario a while back, where it would buck terribly be fine..then not accell at all. I thought I had bad gass in it since i park my car all winter long but that aparently was it. Turns out Cylinder 2 was misfiring, due to the fact my msd ign wires were bad so i had to replace those with stockies and it ran fine. And the wires were only 6 months old. So maybe check your ign wires again? Just a suggestion

this happened to me before with my 1st gen it i missed so much work because of this but i in the end figured it out it was a bad coil pack connector I needed a new one rain would make it act up and also bumpy roads because the holes for the female connector were not making a good connection causing my car to run on only 2-3 cylenders so this might be your problem or its your coil pack if its none of the two then id say map sensor crank sensor or tb sensor

yea bud...i drive alot in the city and i had the same problem.,...spray water on your wires with a spray bottle and then drive it...it its like completely unstandable...get wires! lol my car was bucking like crazy at any throttle...then once above 30 or 40...it was fine anything above 25% throttle....try wires first...cheap simple things first always man lol. trust me! i know lol.
