Hi, I've been reading the posts here about exhaust suggestions and what not but haven't defintively found the answer to what I am looking for, so I'll just throw it out here.....
I have a 2002 sxt with stock exhaust right now, and wanted to go with dynomax 2.5" tubing and a vibrant rear section. Is this possible, or worth the trouble? Or is there something else I should go with?
Forgive the noob.....

I guess it depends on if you can buy the piping by itself. Most places only sell the entire kit, so it might take some convincing.
Might be easier to have a shop do the piping, or buy some mandrel bends online for the "over the axle" bend, then have a shop weld it up for you.
Are you looking for performance or just sound from the exhaust? For performance the mandrel bends are best, but for sound it's not really needed.

I'm looking for performance, sound is important as well, but I want to get something out of it.

how much engine work are you going to do. my 2002 had 2.25" stock some had 2.0". if you have the 2.25" then it's good for up to 160hp or so. to go to 2.5" without engine mods and a way to rev beyond the stock rev limiter is a waste of money. you'll probably see a decline in power. just my .02 worth.
ooh...there's a glimmer of the dream left!!!

For a stock car, keep the stock exhaust, you won't really gain much anything on a stock car besides sound. The stock piping size is more than adequate...

It's got a cold air intake right now, and I was planning on putting in like an OBX header and a 60mm TB from modern performance. I don't intend to keep it all stock forever. hehehehe

If you do the dynomax 2.5" tubing, look up the "ghetto dynomax" or something along those lines. The 2gn dynomax tubing has a 2.25" flex section welded onto it, and its a shitload more expensive. There are people on here that use the 1gn tubing 1st part of the tubing, and the 2gn tail sections. There are part numbers to order and everything.

So many neons so little time.

I was not aware that trubendz offers just the piping kit. That 2.5" piping kit would go perfect with my muffler setup. I guess you learn something new everyday.

Truebendz is pretty good, someone on here just got it, and even posted vids of it.
