Foglight bulb change question

Post by hound9164 » Fri May 09, 2008 7:36 pm

I blew a fog bulb, and i am wondering if i can just unscrew the housing and pull them foward to change the bulb, or if my only option is to break my hand in order to change them from underneath?

To get it out the front, you need to undo th ebulb anyway.

Might as well just take a little pain and suck it up

If its on your driver side, take a moment to remove that huge resonator in there anyway and make your life easier.

the resonator is a big plastic box that helps silence air coming into the intake. Its kinda heavy and is a restriction.

If it's the passenger side, you're gonna have to take the headlight off. Possibly the horn, too, if you want it nice and easy. Driver's side take off the airbox, maybe. Or the headlight. Or both. The only time I put a new one in there was when I had the whole front fender off.

If you still need help removing your fog light bulbs, let me know in a PM or respond here. I did both of mine in 20 MINUTES!! lol... with my factory intake/resonator/ both headlights all in place.. i have big hands too, I can easily palm a nba sized basketball and I didn't have any trouble.

(based off memory)

I have a 04 neon sxt but it's same as your 03.

it's about 3-5 bolts, mine came with 3 but theres holes for 5. The black plastic piece thats directly underneath the bumper remove that.

Unattach the foglight wire clip from that so you don't ruin that.

Twist out each foglight from the back and there u go. each light snaps out so its easy.

Unless your very skinny. I would suggest lift up the front end of the car by a foot or 2. that way you got movin around room.

Any other Q's let me know... have fun.
