I thought I'd share some pictures of my car.

Its a base 2002 mtx.

Srt struts/shocks. 17" wheels with 50 series tires.

Srt Seats (love em).

Srt side skirts (love em more).

Shaved door handles and antenna.

Interior is a little redone...

EDIT: HERE ARE THE NEW PICS........

Welcome! Nice work on your Neon  Kudos for posting pics on your into :)

So did you do the Krylon Fusion on the interior parts? I was wondering based on the overall glossiness of the finish but the grain seems intact. I really like the shaved exterior. Now you just need to clean up the holes in your trunk from the old spoiler

Enjoy your stay!
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Danteneon,

The grain texture has been sanded smooth. Primed sanded and primed some more. It was painted with dupont paint. The same stuff you use to paint your car with. After the base came the clearcoat.

The only grained texture piece in the car is the arm rest in the center. I couldn't sand that LOL.

The silver is the factory neon silver (PS2). And the blue came from a Mazada Laguna Blue. Its turns into almost a blue-violet under certian light conditions.

I need to shave the off those trunk holes along with the 3rd brake light and keyhole.

PS. I want an SRT4 hood so bad

Welcome. Interior is too much for my taste but great work none the less. Shaved doors look super sexy. What other plans you got for your ride?

So, this is a stupid question, but how do you open the doors?

I have a keyless entry deal that actuates the solenoids in the doors. The solenoids are connected to the door handle rod inside the door. They pull on the rod and the doors open.

Heres another pic of from the back seat... I need to take a picture in the evening so there isnt so much glare from the sun.

I am gonna replace the A/f and Boost Gauges with something more useful. Such as Oil Pressure and Voltage.

Image

Dont mind that black POS in front.

Tommorrow I am gonna do this..

As far as future plans go... well my car is slowly morphing into a SRT4.

Damn, those doors are slick shit!! Interior is a bit much for me, no offense. Nonetheless, that thing looks super clean on the outside! Are you going to have a third brake light inside the back window when you shave the trunk?

Howdy!

I normally don't like painted interiors much, but yours is nicely done. Good job!

I'm not too big on painted interiors anymore...but I have to say yours IS a very nice example of what a painted interior SHOULD look like. You got everything from the door inserts to the damn steering wheel, and that's a stock wheel at that! If you had the seats recovered and carpet redone I'd almost say you had one of the nicest I've seen ever.
The exterior is excellent, except I do seem to notice a dookie pipe/fart cannon sticking out ever so conspicuously from under the bumper!
Other than that, BIG UPS!

Now, lets see that engine bay and the system hiding in the trunk.

Warm fuzzy feeling inside

Post by Mach » Fri May 30, 2008 11:42 pm

I glad you guys are digging it. I brought that little silver nugget back in 2001 for a cool $10.5K. It only had 3 miles on it.

Since those pics I installed stage 1 mopar springs. So it looks a little better.

Tommorrow I am gonna buff it and post some more pics.

OverDrive418... I would NEVER put on a fart can on a neon. Actually, I would NEVER put a fart can on anything.

Thanks Everyone
I'll post some more pics tommorrow...
