Woo 8 pages! (Edit: WTF it went to 6? )

Rear lip is on!

Image

The rear sits about 23.5 inches from ground to fender lip.. the front about 24 inches. So overall I dropped the front about 2.25 and the back around 2.6ish? I have the paper downstairs with the exact numbers, I'lll post up tomorrow. Getting out of the car is hilarious, I still put so much of my foot down then realize I barely even need to try.

Tomorrow I might get around to fixing the front lip, and putting the fog lights in.

Also, I have to get rid of these fucking hideous non-folding mirrors. Need folding ones ASAP.

I don't like the front. Should have went stock front + Mopar lip. IMO.

Thanks a lot everyone.

Got the strut braces on today, and the front Hotchkis sway bar. Completing my suspension for now. The car is now "a point and shoot weapon of apex destruction." Fixed the front lip, now only a 1/16 inch of a gap remains really. Hardly noticeable unless your trying to point it out. I also hung the lip lower, sits more flush with the R/T sides. Fog housings are in, but not bulbs. Gotta get a 9145 harness from the junkyard. Ripped the airdam off because it started scraping while driving on the highway and the bolts started flying out, hah!

Everything is together and the car is performing wonderfully. I've only been putting like 20 miles a day on it this month. I gotta kick back on the mods for now until I save up some money again. During the week I will de-side-moldings it. Maybe some pictures tomorrow?

Removed the side moldings and R/T badges just now.. gave it a quick wash.

I think it looks pretty good there, lol.

But ended up stealing King Crab's idea and putting them in the door sills.

I'll have better pictures tonight/tomorrow as I still have to give it a FULL detail and throw the 01 wheels on for the meet. I'll have to see what I'm going to do about the bubbling situation. I think I'll hit it with some scratch x to smooth it out then put some wax over it and hit the needed areas with touch up paint..

wow, i really like that R/T there actually. i say keep it until you get the badge!

you should toss up shots of the lip fixed and of the paint bubbling. i'm curious to see how bad it is.

The R/T on the grille is awesome, and pretty cool in the door. You should get another set so you can do both!

no no no!!! if it bubbled when you took of the side moldings just wait.. the heat from the sun will set them back in. you just have to give it time. mine bubbled really bad but after a day or two in the sun they went completely away. no bubbling at all.

You got lucky then. My paint did the same thing, and it's still bubbled up almost 2 years later. It's because the paint didn't cure right from the factory, only way to really fix it is to strip the paint off and redo it.

As you wish sirrrr... they will be right up!

Edit... here ya go!

Yes, there is STILL a gap, but you have to keep in mind that's how it's always gonna be unless I get a new lip. Cause the way I cut it I messed it up.. but compared to before, this is much much better. After I had posted the original pictures of the lip to the point where I fixed it, the gap got bigger everyday... but now they are held together with an adjustable bracket and 10MM bolts/nuts.
