Gas prices must be pretty bad when people start tryin to steal neons eh?

They were prolly just gonna joy ride it or chop it and try to make a few bucks. Luckily all they got away with were my tails and a few personal items. I'm pretty stoked my car has the Sentry Key system, otherwise who knows where she'd be now

This is how i found the interior

They tried to hotwire the car and a bunch of my electronics don't work anymore. I decided to have it towed somewhere else, in case the perps tried again, and I just didn't like the idea of leaving my car sitting out in the open with a busted window.

The Ellensburg PD and University PD are on it, maybe someone will get caught who knows. The stuff can be replaced and no one got hurt. I'm still pretty furious over the whole situation though, the two things I hate the most in the world are thieves and liars, and I hope whoever did this gets what's coming to them eventually.

dude that is so gay, it sucks what happend man im glad they didnt end up taking it and like you said that most of the stuff can be replaced pretty easy but it just sucks on what happend.

yeah, the dude(s) were clearly in a rush/ not very experienced, they left a lot of other stuff in the car that could have made them a quick couple of bucks but they looked right over it.

they stole some tools out of my trunk and now that i've written a statement about what was taken, i think they even used my own tools to steal the tails lol.

Wow, that makes me leary about leaving mine in my car. I usually have my toolbox in there.

Sorry about the loss man. Is your insurance covering everything? (I might have missed it) I would definitely watch the local ebay auctions for your parts. Craigslist too.

No kidding. I tried hotwiring mine when I installed my alarm. I still threw in a hidden ignition cutoff relay just to be safe.

The insurance should cover everything, I have pretty good coverage, i'll get the low down on that today after all the phone calls i'll be making.

I'll definitely be checking the auction/sales sites pretty closely from now on. If any of you NW guys run into someone selling LED tails for either wayyy too much money or really cheap, be weary.

That sucks man, glad you still have the car and most everything with it.

I can't believe they stole the tails.. It would have been better if they triggered the airbag wire while trying to hotwire the car.

But in the end Karma will come back around and get them.

I talked to my people today, the car should be fixed up and ready to roll on monday. I'm gonna rock stock tails for awhile because I miss the look of stock tails haha and The LEDs were kinda wearing off on me..I still think they're the best looking aftermarket tails out there for 03+, but they just don't impress me like they used to. The shop offered to order a set of the LED's, but i opted to just get stock tails instead.

Mike--I hope they catch em too! Knowing my luck the perps will be illegal aliens residing in Yakima or something. I'll just be glad to get my car back and keep it under the radar of those DIRTY ROTTEN LOW-DOWN COCKSUCKERS!

I broke a kids hand that was trying break into my wife's car, snuke up on him while he was in the car going through something and or another and he left his hand in the door jamb so I slammed the door shut and called the cops. errr....I don't live there, but I've visited multiple times this year as it's the closest city to my university and i've yet to find the "good" part of town. The "valley" as it's often called is a center for car thieves, they travel to other cities, steal cars, strip them in "crack-ima", and leave the shells of cars in orchards around the valley. Downtown is pretty decent, but the rest of the city as i've seen it is pretty rough.

we had a ring down around prosser too, theyd run up to tri cities and steal em, then strip em and dump em in the valley, prosser, sunnyside, whitstran. scotts del sol got jacked off columbia center boulevard and was found in plymouth IIRC, and another guy we ran with had his crx jacked form prosser and it turned up somewhere round here just the shell. i heard a story of a brand new STi (this was a couple years back as well) that was stolen from a lot in tri cities and the shell turned up inthe prosser/whitstran area. yakima is REALLY bad, the "Armpit of Washington" i call it.
