...recently i blew my head gasket and warped the head after driving miles not knowing it was overheating as a coolant line had blown off of the turbo and leaked all my coolant onto the road and the temp gauge read normally as their was no coolant to read.
I have now gotten the 5-layer head gasket and ARP head studs to go in with the new refinished cylinder head.
But while i was at it i decided i was bored with the stock turbo so i made this ( i cut the manifolds but had a friend weld it together).
This is gonna be fun........I will update my project log at a later time

interesting. it has been done by DCR before and didn't yield numbers good enough to justify the work involved (not sure if you read about that).
a word of warning, you may get people hating on this project because you can use a single turbo and do just as well, if not better. i myself like to see people's creativity and ingenuity with one-off projects so i'll be keeping an eye on this. good luck.

DCR is where i got the idea from.
once you have the manifold it is not that hard to piece together.
I think the problem with dcr's kit is it is to expensive for the hp numbers you get.
All i want is 400 or so hp out of this i i think i should be able to reach this easily

the problem isn't with the price, its with the inefficiency of the setup for street use. There's a huge thread about it on srtforums. Part throttle overboost and boost creep out the ying yang. Its an interesting setup, for sure, but be prepared for poor driving performance at anything other than wide open throttle.
Personally, I'd have gone with a 50trim for 400hp. Its only a few hundred bucks more than a used turbo and manifold for a rebuilt 50trim and manifold, and the plumbing is easier.

meh. it only is costing me 90 bucks for the second turbo so i cant beat that price.
If i get overboost and boost creep problems ill pull it off and weld an external gate to it.
i tcan't possibly be any worse than me running the stock turbo with the wastegate disconnected to get as much as i can out of it.....talk about instant part throttle boost.

I thought you couldn't weld cast metal because it would crack?

Welding rod with a high nickel content is/should be used to weld cast iron. It can also be brazed, but IDK how well brass/bronze would hold up in a turbofold.
