My black 2003 R/T was in a front-end colission last Novmeber, and I had all repairs done at my local dealership's bodyshop.
Now, it looks like the paint and clear coat are peeling off of the grill trim. The piece I am referring to is normally chrome on the base models, but color-matched on our R/Ts.
My question is, are these pieces supposed to be painted? Where the paint has peeled, I see black plastic underneath. I would think it would need to be painted on non-black R/Ts to color match, but I think I remember mine just being the black plastic.
The bodyshop has a lifetime warranty that I am hoping will cover this. I just want to do as much research as possible so I have some ammunition if I need to argue.
Thanks.
Need help from 2003+ R/T Guys

Tell them to repaint them, but make sure they put a flex agent in the paint.
I had mine painted black, they looked good for a few weeks, then I started seeing the paint chipping off around the areas where debris had hit.
I told the body shop to re-do them, and they said they might have forgot to add flex, so they re-did them.
