I couldn't do that because then when I kill my battery next time I wouldn't be able to get in. Is there any way to get through the trunk into the cabin?

 use your key for the trunk and climb on in, then pull the cable that opens your rear seat up. Im sure you will look really cool doing that too.

Why lose the keyhole in the handle and leave the big one in the trunk? Shave that! All you have to do is install jumpers from each terminal and locate them under your bumper or behind your fender liner. If the battery dies you can easily jumpstart your car and get in. Chrysler has done the opposite with the battery behind the bumper and access points in the engine compartment. It is easy and cheaper than breaking a window or scratching your paint.

... and how do you get the jumper cables or jump starter from inside the car?

The point is to have them hanging down and attached to the inside of the bumper, already attached on one end to the battery so you can just unhide them and connect them to a donor battery.

you can buy batttery cable from any auto store or speed shop and get a set of battery terminals and make mounting brakets so they are under your carout of sight. Then if you have a dead battery you hook up your jumper cables to the new battery terminals. If you ever go to the track and look at the back of some of the racecars they usually have 2 battery terminals and an On/Off switch to cut off the power to the car. It is very simple!!
