tires alone can be taped up in pairs and shipped open.

yeah when i ordered tires from discounttire they came taped up with bands.. i just shipped a set of srt rims i got 2 18x18x18 boxes, and some bubble wrap down, rim in facing up, seperated with foam and bubblewrap then the other rim facing down to protect both rim fronts more bubble wrap and foam to make everything snug and protect edges.. it was a tight fit but they made it fine UPS.. cosdt me i think 30 a box, so 60-70 ish plus cost of boxes

If you need some boxes, just go up to home depot or sams club and ask if you have some of their boxes. Usually they let you pick what you want for free.

Also, I find that ups is the cheapest if you pay online at the ups site then drop it off or have them pick it up. Most of these shipping stores overcharge on shipping, I had one mark up the cost $50 over the price listed online.

^^ UPS sucks balls. I have to deal with them on a daily basis.

Fedex is the best for shipping rims/tires. We use them with work and find they are the cheapest

I shipped two 15x6 steel wheels through UPS and it cost $13 each. Make sure you go to an actually UPS store. Places like Post Net and such upcharge like crazy. They tryed to get me to pay $15 to send a 2lb item Priority Mail when it should have cost $7.

is that quote for 28 each rim/tire?, or just rim... i think thats the same quote they gave me for one srt rim no tire.. thats why i doubled em up, was cheaper.. 2 boxes versus 4..
