Riiiiiight....

With the right amount of money, anything is possible.

In my opinion it would just be more cost effective + a better platform, to buy a RWD car than to convert a car from FWD to RWD

There's a Guy Named Larry in Kansas that converted a TI Shadow to RWD with a 400+hp Holset Turbo'd 2.5 Hybrid motor w/ a MKII Supra tranny and a Dana rear end (I think) that is a mid-11 second car.

I can understand that because it's a cheap car and it wouldn't break anyone's heart to see it hack up but to do that to an SRT-4 or something like an '89 Dodge Shadow Shelby CSX-VNT or Shelby Lancer or Daytona IROC R/T would be just tragic.

If you wanna do something like that, please, use something like a Shadow ES or 1gn 2dr coupe or Daytona ES.

I wouldn't say Tragic.. because they are just run of the mill economy boxes from a failing company.

You can order RWD anything you want from Rick Jones, Jerry Haas as well as many other chassis builders and it would still probably be cheaper than converting a FWD car to a RWD car.

no need for the car. it will be a custom built car with a full tube frame.

Yes, they are mainly produced for Comp eliminator, Pro Stock, Pro Mod and similar type classes. But if you want one they will build it.

There was a 1gn Pro Stock car about 8 years ago. It ran high 6s in the quarter

ok, so it's completely possible. you need some custom motor mounts, a jeep 2.4 bell housing, a jeep 2.4 MTX flywheel, a supra 5 speed trans (early on they talk about just swapping in a 2wd jeep trans, but it's not gonna be gared right for a car application), a supra rear end, and a custom drive shaft. i did a little research into this...

that's just a general idea of what all you'll need.
