timing issue? P0016
Hey guys I am posting for Henry...he is almost 300 miles away from home at Kings Island with no computer access. On is way down there his check engine light came on, and car began running poorly. His car went into what he thinks was limp mode and would not allow him to go past 3000 rpm. The only code he got from turning the key is P0016. I searched but did not find much more than the timing possibly could have slipped or the crank sensor. The car was running fine last week and the same code came on, so he cleared it and thought nothing of it. Anyone else had a similar problem, or could offer any help..? Thanks Josh

well i drove back this morning and had my dad go to the local dealerships to hunt down parts while i was on my way. so i'll be changing the timing belt, tensioner, water pump and my crank position sensor as well this afternoon. since it seems that either my belt slipped or the sensor is bad. fun fun. i was actually planning on changing my timing belt next weekend since i was on vacation the last couple days and just put in a pt clutch last weekend but oh well. funny how that works. i'll let you know how it comes out
