3 Months, Second Oil Change & Tire Rotation Coming Up! C

Post by JuniorMT » Sun Jun 08, 2008 6:32 pm

How fast the time flies! I have barely owned my car since February 29th, of 2008 and it is now June 8th! And the Car already has 7000 Miles on it!

History of my CSRT4, since I have purchased it!

Went to the Dealership on Feb 28th, and drove the CSRT4, I didnt really get on it, but I felt very comfortable in it! I was still puzzled as to why I would trade my NSRT4, with built motor and big turbo in for this...thing. car had 11 miles, and ended with 18 miles

Well went back to the Dealership on the 29th, and my Buddy BJ, who is the finance manager there, made me an offer I couldnt refuse. I signed the papers, they detailed my new baby, and off I went to have dinner with my folks. Car had 29 miles when I made it to dinner.

Of Course, after dinner, I had to show my new car off to some local buddies, whom own NSRT4s. So I picked up my really good friend Anthony, and we took it out for a spin, on our little race street known as Montgomery (Prop1 and Redcali1 probably hate this street on the weekends, lol) and I got into my first race that night.

a 2006 VW GTI started picking on me, and mind you, no experience racing this car, and my buddy Anthony, weighs a dang good 300lbs. So I was in a way, nervous! However, skill took over on this race, and I managed to win by about 6 cars. SWEET! car had 68 miles when this happened.

Well I took my friend Anthony to meet his girlfriend, and I proceeded to go to his brother's house to show him the new lady in my life. When I got to his house, he and his girlfriend looked over my car and immediately approved upon it and of course, had to take Adam (my friends brother) out for a spin. We managed to find ourselves back on Montgomery, and this time ran into a GT mustang. Adam, weighs about 250lbs, and so I thought hmmm, this might turnout okay for me. Of course it did, and the GT lost by a lot, lost count lol. Car had about 102 miles

So after our deal I took him home and I proceeded to head home finally. Everything was quiet, and no traffic, so I just cruised it home, and noticed the gas mileage I was getting. I had yet to touch 3/4 yet. I was very happy. I got home, car had about 132 miles on it.

When I got home, I contacted BJ, who also owns a CSRT4, and we did a photoshoot that night. Car had 142 miles when I got home.

The few weeks after that, The car got a new SRT badge on the grill and I drove it around town a lot, and had some good races and so on which I had won, except to my parents Twin Turbo GTO which flat out smoked me. Yeah it was a waste of gas, lol. But then I took the car to the track. 2192 miles were on the car at this time.

The track was horrible, and I didnt run so well, as the dirt there, overtook the track.

The car had 2217 when I left the track and made it home.

I still proceeded to drive the car a lot, and at 3400 miles,I did my first oil change. I went to Napa and Purchased Royal Purple 5w30 and bought the Mopar oil filter, and did my oil change. I found out getting the oil filter off was a little more difficult than the neon, but eh, whatever, got it off easily still. The car had drained out only 3 3/4 quarts of oil, which sucked.

The next week, the car found a some new visual mods, a shorty antenna and the engine cover and air box were painted and I found myself at the track again, the car had about 3712 miles, and I was ready to rock and roll. The car found itself running better, the track was damn better, and I ran a 14.24 also trapping 102.

When I got home, car had about 3738 miles.

The weekend after, I was still determined to get my times down and I managed to do so, running a 14.14 and I was trapping 102.

The car had about 4300miles when I took it that week and ended up with about 4324 when I got home.

Well I was done with the track for a while, and proceeded with everyday living deals like normal. Taking the girlfriend to work, her son to school and so on. Doing Photoshoots, and I was putting miles on the car like crazy! I also tinted the tail lights to add to the cars looks. I also had fun figuring out how well the car brakes up here, using the EVIC and all, also finding out ways to get better gas mileage and everything.
Car has about 6200 miles here.

Finally decided to do a night race at the track, and the car did "Okay" not the best it's performed, but for the DA going up and it being at 8000Ft that night, I was okay with it.

Car has about 6400 miles at this point.

Well, now the car has 7012 miles on it, and it is ready for another oil change, and is also ready for the tire rotation. The car has changed a lot visually and is still changing rapidly everyday. I am also loving this car more and more, everytime I take it out for a spin.

I wanna thank you folks for reading this nostalgic post and all, but the car and I have grown close to each other, lol.

i'm still so undecided about CSRT-4s. I love wagons, but it's just to suv-y

either way, awesome story. it's awesome to see an owner that doesn't worry about that silly "break in" period and just goes all out and enjoys the car. after all, that's why we own em right?
