Cam Question

Post by Craz1000 » Tue Jun 10, 2008 12:20 pm

when i change my clutch i am also thinking of going ahead and changing my timing belt and throw on a R/T cam

i heard the 01 R/T cam is more aggressive than the NGC R/T's if this is so can i throw on the 01 R/T cam without a problem or not because the 01 cam is actually cheaper than the NGC part

Yes, the cams are interchangeable. The 01's were hotter and wore out easier.

Not worth it, IMO. From looking at just the numbers, I wouldn't spend my money on either of those and just upgrade everything.

Pretty much the 01 R/T, the comp200 and the crane 12 are about the same level, with the 02-04 R/T cam a little behind. You don't need to change springs or anything.
