Talked to my bank this morning, and the credit still hasn’t come through… so I called the body shop, and was told the accounts payable person isn’t in, so this most likely won’t get done until at least Monday…

What a shame- they look like I painted them.
Too bad since I like the look you were going for. If you do decide to kick up a little dust about how you were treated, find out if they are a member of the local Chamber of Commerce- a complaint there might help.

Wow. I can't believe any of that. Not to mention the part where they threw you out of the shop! That man is absolutely insane! Looks like they don't know the meaning of fine line tape (I too am a painter) and tried to use regular masking tape to tape off the edges. While from far away they look good and its a great concept, up close not so much.
Nightshades can be removed with brake clean or reducer. You will either have to re-clear the red or re-nightshade them as they won't be shiny. Try the reducer on the silver part too, you never know what they used on it, and if they used rattle can silver instead of a professional clear, it will come off with reducer.
I had a similar experience with the body shop that did my diffuser. The guy who painted it didn't know how to deal with the flat clear. So my diffuser and eyelids were horrible looking. I was too excited about the new front bumper to even bother to look at the other stuff. I met up with my best friend after I picked it all up and figured I'd show him the work. When I pulled it out of the trunk I saw fisheyes and what looked like "sponge" painting all over the diffuser. I called them up but they had already switched to overnight towing so I couldn't get through. I left a message and the owner called me back first thing the next morning.
I explained what happened to him and he said he didn't see them before they left the shop and if he had he wouldn't have let them leave. The next day I brought the pieces back and in a week they were done perfectly, as everyone had intended. THAT is how you do business. This dude should take a lesson.

That is EXACTLY the right response... if the customer isn't happy, fix it.
Especially since I made sure to mention to the guy when I got estimates that I wanted the tails done first, and if that was done well, I'd bring the car back and have the quarter panel fixed, as well as some other custom stuff I wanted...
Brake cleaner, eh? I'll have to go try that today!

Tint the bitches. Glad you were able to fix it, they look 1000x better. Maybe you should run to the dealer since they're untinted, and get some of the touch up paint in a can, and give them a pass or two to cover up some of the sanding marks (and tape them up better too).

So many neons so little time.
