Neon in trouble

Post by zeRk_RT » Tue Jun 24, 2008 12:15 am

My neon its throwing liquid of the side of the conductor, i recently installed the comp cams 400 but my neon rt 2001 should have no problems with that

whenever i travel with the car the liquid comes of the side of the conductor i think its water but im not pretty sure i had a problem with a sensor and my neon overheat for a bit so i noticed after that that this liquid if coming of the side of the conductor, the first time i otught it was because of the overheat but once i fix that it still comes of what could it be?

By "conductor" do you mean the hose, or the radiator? There is a tube that is in the thermostat housing. It goes to the overflow tank if it isn't connected the coolant will leak out of that little tube.

OK then, if there is water like liquid comming from the driver's side head it is hopefully from the coolant sesor, or worse the head gasket. If the sensor is under/overtightened it may leak. From what I can tell from original post it may have been replaced? maybe try some liquid thread sealer on it. Tape type thread sealant isn't recommended as the sensor has to have an electrical connection with the head.
