Onto DOHC pistions in a SOHC mods....
THIS IS NOT HARD WHY DO PEOPLE MAKE SUCH A BIG DEAL OF IT
Take the tapered side of the piston and make it about twice the size of stock(be sure you are going towards the top of the piston) you dont have to be exact here and more is more dont over think it
I got a bit sick of red

I just need to get a flap wheel and somemore sanding pads for the die grinder

I hate chrysler TBs 6 bolts 5 were fine the last one I did anything with somehow broke my craftsman torx driver and they only sell them in sets but they are out of stock so I am down a T20 for awhile. During the remaining disassembly I mannaged to shove a screwdriver through the side of my hand

Pics of the screwdriver in your hand?
Look at the bright side. With a gaping hole in your hand, you have an extra holder for another screwdriver if you need it....

I got a lot done this weekend...
New engine is here
Old short block is gone
Trans is out
96 engine harness is out
Simple DOHC swap...
Swap the engine harness. The chassis side of the harness(grey cap at the PCM) is just about the same 96-99, the engine however is different 96,97-99. More DOHC neons 97-99 so grab that engine harness and that PCM. ATX PCM gets you lock up TC code and a lower rev limit but it will run the engine better than a SOHC PCM

I have the same one lol. The "dragging out of the car" is the same reason why I bought drag radials. Don't want to have to drag the jack out, and the slicks, bolt them on, run, and then put the street tires back on and drive home.

So many neons so little time.

Exactly why the car is built for Street class. Hell Mark has an alum jack and power tools and I still wouldnt change tires at the track(unless I had an assistant, miss 50 second miata tire change interested?

)
I got another set of koni blacks waiting on an exact price but sub $100 konis FTW

Mom wants her toy and I want my TT car, it only took me a year to find a decent mag head the first time. I think its time for a SOHC engined car to be made from improbable numbers so I picked 2 out of my ass:
215whp
9750rpm
Let my bank account empty!

I doubt you'll make those RPM's, but a good friend of mine up here just dyno'd 196 to the wheels in his All Motor DOHC last week...

Sorry typo 8750 is where Im aiming. It makes a 4.11 FD box perfect for track work.
Id like to have it done for Carlisle not sure how realistic that is though.

My other grassroots challenge car is gone. So with the recent impulse buy of a stratus 2.4 SRT rods and pistons a megasquirt box and a stock turbo this has become the new one. Just as a point having a pretty girl help you pull the dash and find a place for a MsQ box makes for a cool day. Pics to follow.

SRT pistons are just waiting on me to find my flat feeler gauge to set ring gap and the short block will be together.
The turbo arrived sans the oil return line anybody have one they will sell cheap? There was a rice plate in the box does this really do anything? Is it worth anything(I have a bit of budget recoup left) or should I just send it to someone in need of a b-day present?
Pics as soon as the camera is charged.
In other news Im over Meagan Fox onto somebody more um not Megan Fox

Why is it so hard to find pics of brunette Taylor from the you belong with me video?

I keep telling them that, but nobody listens... well except for Mox, and he won't shave.
