RT Headlights & Black Grill

Post by Neonix » Mon Aug 01, 2005 10:24 pm

So with having the RT style headlights on my car, I noticed that now pretty much everything is blackened on my car, except for my rims and the plastic chrome painted grill piece. My rims I have to fix at a later date. But the plastic grill piece I could fix now. I painted it gloss black minus the emblem. I didn't want to just take it out, as then it looks bad to me, cause it looks like there's something missing and it's too big of a gap.

The pics are bad cause she hasn't been washed, and the lighting is bad, but what do you guys think? It's kind of a quick fix until I can get (find) my RT bumper.

And here's just a pic of the headlights that were installed...the grill is out.

We've been looking for quite a while now. They are hard to come across. She almost caved in and just got a base 02 bumper (still an upgrade over the 00 bumper) but we'd love to get the r/t for it.

I like how you blackened your license plate number in the 2nd picture but not the first.

Jay

p.s. instead of all the waiting why not just cave in and save a little and get the rt front from the dealer?

Your car is slowly eating up the old parts off of mine. First my old gauges and now my headlights. Those lights looked great on my car and now they'll continue to do so on yours for years to come. I'm glad they went to a good home.

I painted a 2000 grill piece Salsa Red. I have both chrome and salsa red now. I switch them every now and then. Depends on my mood.

 You're not the only one Jeremy. Chris's taillights, antenna, brightstar headlight bulbs, and his front turn signal bulbs he got from the shop are on her too.

And yeah RT bumpers are hard to come by. I don't really want to shell out 300++ dollars for a bumper. While I'm sitting and waiting I get little things for her here and there.

Cause we could buy a whole kit for what it would cost for a dealer bumper + paint.

Yeah, but I fear the day she says, "Honey, I have an UDP to install." Then again, I could negotiate some good payment for that.
