Well I decided to take the day today and clean up the red car and get it looking presentable. Other than driving it back and forth to work everyday and neglecting it, I don't give it much thought. I've been hearing a chattering in the rear end for a while around left turns or whenever the wheel is turned left at all. I finally started to notice that the passenger side rear tire is wearing funny on the outside as if the toe is off... I kicked the tire towards the front of the car and towards the back of the car. When I kicked the back the wheel moved towards the driver's side a good bit and sprung back out. I realized there's play in that wheel because the control arm bushing through the frame is shot... sweet. those bolts are rusty as fuck so I'm afraid to deal with it. I've been soaking them everyday with PB and it shut up. I'm hoping MAYBE I can get the bolt out without it breaking
Anyway, the car was covered in mud inside and out from construction site off roading/tossing boots/equipment in the car and leaving it. It had about 20 gatorade bottles in the back seat as well as piles of "important" paper work. I washed and waxed the car, cleaned the windows, washed the floor mats, vacuumed the carpet, seats, etc. sprayed deodorizer in the car and got it looking good.
I decided to take the duct tape fix off the broken pass side folding mirror and just epoxy the housing to the base so it wouldn't move and didn't look so ghetto.
I shot some rubberized under coating under the car, and shot the muffler and rear of the exhaust black.
While I was at it, the B pillars were all faded and discolored with rainbow staining that looks like oil. I figured I'd freshen them up real quick so I masked off the area around them with painters tape and scuffed them up with Scotch Brite pads. After that, I shot them with dupli-color trim black paint. They look brand new now and it makes the car look much better.

much better.
Now that I got this car looking presentable, I may be selling it. My brother's neighbor is actually looking for a car for a niece and was inquiring about his neon. Otherwise I may just put it on Craigslist. I'm looking to buy a newer Cherokee or Dakota to drive for the winter. I want something different.

yeah, the B pilars were beyong repair with back to black so I figured I'd give it a shot since I had the paint already. They look awesome.
dupli-color rubberized undercoating. It dries to a semi-flexible surface. If you look on the previous page with the exhaust black out, I sprayed the silver car too and there's some pics.

I've been applying back to black on mine since I bought the car when they were still in good shape, so they are still fine. these ones were beyond repair though

Ziptie's come in handy when a prostitute gets mouthy or reluctant
*eye twitches*
I like people who BUY a 10 sec car and then brag about it. Thats like hiring someone to bang your wife and then bragging about the kid

Now I have an even bigger surprise in the works. Might be trying to get some of the problems solved on the red car real quick. Then again... maybe not.
