I seem to recall a RECALL on jeep grand cherokee cooling fans
I just re read your first page and it seems that its possible the recall was never performed on your jeep. PM me the last 8 digits and current mileage, in some states its against the law to sell a vehicle with open recalls....Safety Recall F25 - Electric Radiator Fan
2000 (WJ) and (W1) Jeep® Grand Cherokee
NOTE: This recall applies only to the above vehicles built from January 31, 2000
through June 12, 2000 (MDH 013100 through 061223).
2002 (WJ) (W1) and (WG) Jeep® Grand Cherokee
NOTE: This recall applies only to the above vehicles equipped with a 4.0L engine (“S”
in the 8th VIN Position) built from February 4, 2002 through June 17, 2002 (MDH
020406 through 061723).
The plastic fan blades of the electric radiator fan on the above vehicles may fracture
and separate. This can damage the radiator and/or cause the engine to overheat. If a
fan blade separates while the hood is open, those nearby could become injured.
Part Number Description
CBG4F250 Electric Radiator Fan

I know that the recall was never performed on the Jeep. You told me about it back when we got it and I was looking for info about this Jeep.
I'll have to see if it is against the law to sell that way in DE.
It was just never convenient to take it into a dealer since I have been working and Jess has been taking graduate classes full time. Then it happened at the most inconvenient time, I ended up cancelling a trip to NY/CT and taking time off of work. I'm just glad it did it when I was with her.
I wonder if I could end up getting reimbursed for this, that would be nice. But it is our fault for not getting it done.

You know what? Screw Chilly, that selfish bastard... he left behind a wife (the alternator) and 2 sons (the AC pump and PS Pump)... think about how THEY feel? What are they going to do now? Did Chilly have life insurance? What about his kids, growing up without a dad? Who's going to teach them how to throw a ball, or pick up on other alternators? MOM? I think not! Selfish bastard!

That was the goal. I need to laugh about this otherwise I would be pissed off that I let something go that would have been free, but ended up costing me $300.

^:slap: it aint gonna be 2 Christmases when their dad is dead, dumbass!
now, had he been replaced by another model, then it would be equal to a divorce, in which your statement would make sense. since it didnt go down like that and Chilly ended himself, you fail.
