OEM black housing '03+ lights??

Soo here's my question because I'm perplexed... I recently bought a pristine silver '03 SXT, 1 owner, 39k miles, clean carfax but the first thing I noticed was that it had black housing lights like most all wrecked neons... The strange part is that upon closer inspection, they say Sylvania on the housing..... Did OEM lights ever come with black housings?? because these say Sylvania and not DEPO or something. Also, I don't think they were modded... they look factory, and I think an older lady owned the car. I'm stumped. I'll try to get a closeup pic when I can.

Those are factory. I'm pretty sure it was an 03 only thing.

Theres a couple people with them, but I dont think there are too many 03s on here. It wasn't even an early 04 thing, because my car was built august 03, about as early in the 04 model year as you can get.

yep, I've got the black ringed headlights too on my 03

IMO I like them better than the after market black housings

My 03 R/T has black housing headlights from the factory. In fact, one of my headlights got smashed out when I hit a chick running a red light and the DCX body shop replaced it with another OEM black housing headlight.

Old pic, but you can see that they are darker around the edges then 04+ Neons and any SRT.

Well that settles that! I just didn't see any other ones on here. I love them. They look better than the chrome, and look great on the silver imo.
