Momo Steering Wheel and Hub question...

Post by 2005.Neon.SXT » Sun Jul 06, 2008 5:20 pm

so I saw this Momo steering wheel that looks pretty sweet and it comes with the Hub http://forums.neons.org/viewtopic.php?t=319254

Since I probably won't be able to snag these, I was just looking at the Momo website and figured I'll just buy my own set straight from the website when I return to the states. As I was looking through the Hub adapters, I noticed there isn't one for any Dodge's. Does anyone know where else I could find an adapter for this Steering Wheel?

And why doesn't neons.org accept Gmail as an email account!?!? :banghead:

That is a nice steering wheel. I'm not sure why people swap their stock steering wheels w/ airbags for aftermarket wheels without any. No matter how nice a steering wheel looks now, it isn't going to look near as nice when it is embedded in your face!

This is true, that's why you get a harness!! lol. I wouldn't mind swapping my steering wheel just to have a cool interior piece, but that thought has crossed my mind.

Because if you have ever been in a collision with airbag deployment it isn't fun to have a big ass balloon in your face when you get knocked through an intersection and may need to see where to steer so you don't get t-boned. Airbags are there just in case you seatbelt doesn't fully lock. For the short people that sit with 6 inches of your airbag your chances of survival because an airbag deployment goes down.

I wish I could find a QD hub for my car. The steering wheel would be gone yesterday.

Are you trying to tell me you take the air bag out for safety reasons? That's just ridiculous.

I'd rather have bruises on my torso and lap from a 4-pt harness than a broken neck/nose/jaw/etc from an airbag. I'm short, I sit relatively close to the steering wheel, and have been hit by an airbag before. Broken nose, face and arm bruising, and nasty scrapes up both forearms. Its painful. On the other hand, when i wrecked my prelude with the harness and no airbag, I had a few bruises up my torso, but no broken nose or blood loss.

Are you trying to tell me you take the air bag out for safety reasons? That's just ridiculous.

when i had my cavalier and got into a small accident i wished the airbags had been disabled.. it was like a 5mph crash and i had to replace the steering wheel bag, passenger bag, the airbag module, and windshield because the airbag broke the window... so...

of course you never know if its going to be 5mph or 50 mph so...

LOL my airbag accident was in a cavalier too. Going like 15mph on the brakes down a hill when this kid that was learning how to drive pulled out in front of me. I was pissed. His mom told the cop she had told him to go, so she got a ticket too LOL, I think it was public endangerment or some shit.
