What? You mean that spray people put in their tires, like Fix-a-Flat? Don't use that shit. I doubt it would eat away rubber, but then the tire is completely useless, filled with foam, and you've gotta scrape that shit off of your rim when you can afford to get new rubber. The guys working on your tires will hate you.Fuzzyneon wrote:I heard did a flat stuff eats tires though?
Plus that shit is heavy and I don't trust it. I used it on my bicycle once. After I got bitched out by my repairman, never again.
Then it got stolen.

just plug it up. plug kits are a couple bucks and all you do is pull the nail out, ream the hole, jam the plug in and rip the tool out. and then fill the tire back up.

just plug it. when i worked at jeep, that's what we did to our bitch van when it got a nail in the tire. it's what i did to my escort when i had a flat tire, it's what i did to my friends buick, my old tempo, girlfriends neon... (i've dealt with a lot of flats, haha)
it only costs about $4, and takes all of 10 minutes out of your day. That includes re-filling it with air.
kit looks something like this:

When you have the extra money, get it patched or a new tire. I've ran on plugs until the cords were showing through the tire.

Plugging is more than sufficient to repair a simple nail/screw hole. On one of my old tires I had 4 or 5 plugs in one tire (very bad luck) and it held air and was fine until I switched tires. The tires were crap but that wasn't the fault of the plugs.

just buy a plug kit, do it yourself, and keep it and a small pair of needlenose pliers in your trunk under the spare. Kits usually have 5 or 10 plugs with them, and you never know when you'll have another nail caught in a tire, or be able to make a few quick bucks in a parking lot from someone with a flat.
