Anyone like Old Turbo Dodge cars?

Post by 01NeonSnooZer » Tue Jul 08, 2008 8:31 pm

What is your favorite one.

If you have any, what do you have?

My favorite is the '92 Daytona IROC R/T.......or the '89 Shelby CSX VNT.....I can't decide.

I want a t2 Omni, and then a turbo mini. I had a turbo mini when I was younger, and my parents had an omni when I was a kid.

Omni's are cool because no one expects them to be fast. I had a shadow as my first car (no turbo, sadly), I like them too.

A friend of mine's dad built a pretty bad ass omni. It ran mid 11's. It had enough nitrous and boost going through it that anymore would blow out the spark.

Here's a hint: This was the same person that ran the first 11 second pass in a FWD mopar. This feat was accomplished with a car that I drove, but had a different engine in it when my dad owned it.

Other TDs that I dont have pics of:
87 omni parts car
84 turismo 2.2 parts car
85 GLH-T parts car
85 omni that wound up at some point having every turbo 2.2 variant except a III or IV I dont know how much you could call that my car as I was 14 when we got it but it is where I learned everything from

I went an looked at a gold carb'd GLH today I need to look it over a little better but it looks pretty solid here's hoping

Parts list on the charger when it was scraped:
Shelby suspension (not GLHS) and rear brakes (220mm Drums)
Caravan front brakes (SLH 1)
A525 with clips
Shelby/GLH/H.O. head with the big cam (same spec as from the IMSA charger)
Ported intake with the water passages blocked off
MP/Holley carb

no offense..

I'm not a fan of anything from the late 70s to mid 90s. The cars just do nothing for me. So boxy and cookie cutter.

Holey Rusty Metal, Batman...

The metal, its full of hoels and is rusty...

I lve all those cars, yet I grew up around them, so I have a soft spot in my heart for all 80's and up to mid 90's cars.
