i know that MP sells a bottom end rebuild kit....but what else is there that will handle 400+ hp that might be cheeper or is that a really good deal?

from what I know thats all I know for bottom end kits, you can look on howell automotive, they have the same bottom end rebuild kit, I think they offer a little more with theirs though...but theirs are more expensive...I mean if you want something that can handle 400whp easy, do an srt swap...thats my only other suggestion to you...

Ebay has the cheapest prices. One vendor had Eagle rods and Wiesco pistons/rings for ~$710 shipped during a 4th of July sale (typically ~$750)
